A data-driven platform to boost partner performance

We partnered with a leading legal rankings and data brand that provides unbiased and verified rankings for firms and individuals worldwide.

With 35 years' worth of research and underutilised data under their belt, they wanted to reach a new audience - Law Firm Partners - with a proposition using existing data. They needed a strategic partner to identify the underlying needs of the target audience, design a number of propositions and identify a candidate that worked given the feasibility constraints.

Two scaleable propositions in one product

The leading legal research company spotted a huge opportunity to address their partners’ appetite for insights and intelligence with a new marketable offering.

We delivered a strategic platform based on two scalable propositions; the first to help firms secure the best talent and the second to help them grow their client base. The resulting product positions the brand as a best-in-class data and insights provider, solving its target audience’s biggest pain points whilst adding significant additional revenue streams.

A practical application of existing data

Dealing in research, our partner already had a lot of data that they were using in a very manual way. We were able to narrow potential solutions by evaluating feasibility, desirability and viability.

Using a combination of data analysis and data-driven prototyping, we identified and tested two propositions that would address the biggest pain points of the world’s biggest firms. In the end we delivered not one but two coded prototypes into one strategy and one new platform.

Making a product that works for everyone

We built to be inclusive by default, helping directly tackle the issue of diversity which was a common theme raised by our target audience.

Then to ensure mass adoption and enjoyment of the product, we created an inclusive design framework to help our partner consider a more diverse user base. Handing over the tools and techniques to deliver inclusive services that all partners can use and enjoy.

Three delivery options to quickly get to market

To help the business explore different ways of launching the product without having to build the entire thing, we presented three different options for delivery.

These ranged from a scrappy, quick launch to a longer-term approach. We worked with them on startup thinking and MVP approach to recommend a no-code option that would enable them to get to market quickly.

Futureproofing the product

As we move towards the pilot phase, we’ve recommended launching with a custom-built front-end and manual back-end. Not only will this enable the business to deliver the quality brand experience their customers have come to expect, it will also reduce technical debt in the future and enable them to scale with ease.

Our client is now launching one of the propositions.
